Furry Project

Foxwell Foxcoon (center) and Lowen Kind wait in the basement of the civic center in Poughkeepsie, New York, after marching in the Kid's Expo parade. Furries are a group of people who identify themselves not as being human but as a walking, talking animal. For some the lifestyle is complete, animal traits reach into every aspect of life from mundane trips to a grocery store to sexual fantasies. For others, involvement in the furry fandom is limited to public performances and meet-and-greets.
