Anthony Amore is the Directory of Security and Chief Investigator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Mass., USA, seen here in The Dutch Room at the museum on Tues., Dec. 5, 2017. Part of Amore's ongoing work is the investigation into the 1990 theft of 13 pieces from the museum: 10 paintings, 2 objects, and 1 etching. Among the paintings stolen were works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Degas, and Manet. The large empty frame on the wall is what held Rembrandt's "The Storm on the Sea of Galilee" painting until it was stolen from the museum in the heist. At right is another empty frame, which held Vermeer's "The Concert" until it, too, was stolen.
